Background
Hevea is a Dutch manufacturer of specialized boots for the construction and food industry. They produce safety boots under the brand name Dunlop for the professional and leisure market.
Problem
Hevea needed a new packaging design to display the boots in a commercial environment and communicate its specifications and brand values.
Design
I developed a packaging concept with the unique ability to hang the boots on a shelf. This minimizes the risk of folding the boot shafts, a common issue that has a lasting impact on the boot and its lifetime. It reduces the amount of carton used for a traditional box concept and ensures that the communication material stays connected to the product.
