Background
Microsoft Dynamics is a line of Enterprise Resource Planning software applications, targeted at smaller and medium sized companies – Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX and DYnamics CRM. Microsoft markets Dynamics applications through a network of reselling partners who provide specialized installation and customization support.
The Dynamics Mobile Applications where the mobile workflow extensions used by warehouse workers, sales agents and mobile technicians.
2009
Problem
When Microsoft was preparing for Windows Mobile 7 in 2009, I was responsible to create a design vision for the Dynamics mobile framework. As the platform needed to be tightly aligned with the Windows mobile operating system, I collaborated closely with that team in Redmond.
Design
The platform for Dynamics contained unique characteristics like time and material registration, finding and placing items in a warehouse and registration and scheduling of customer visits.
