Background
LTLabs is a startup company, specializing in software development for the garments manufacturing industry. LTLabs was founded as part of the parent company LuenThai, a big garment manufacturer in South East Asia with over 30 factories in 8 countries.
They combine their first hand knowledge of the fashion industry with modern technology to streamline the supply chain and optimize transparency and efficiency.

Problem
LTLabs wanted to bridge the gap between de manufacturers in Asia and Clients that are often located at the other end of the world. The solution consists of two applications, the first of which is a tablet application that is used by the Quality inspectors on the production line. The second application is a web portal that allows clients to view the data ‘real time’ and get insight into the daily quality metrics of their orders.
Design
The tablet application can be used both by the quality controller at the end of the production line, inspecting finished products, or by the in-line quality inspectors, that do random checks on the goods in progress, to ensure quality of measurements and stitches.
The application allows for registration of quality defects, to be categorized into various categories and severities. Clients often hold KPI thresholds for the amount of errors allowed per hour/day etc. This application removes the need for paper tracking and reduces the reporting time drastically. It also allows for better analysis of the production line and being able to see and solve issues directly.
